240 ILCS 35/2  from Ch. 56 1/2, par. 79.2

    Amends the Illinois Refrigerated Warehouses Act. Provides that the licensing cycle shall be the same as the State fiscal year.

1    AN ACT concerning warehouses.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Illinois Refrigerated Warehouses Act is
5amended by changing Section 2 as follows:
 
6    (240 ILCS 35/2)  (from Ch. 56 1/2, par. 79.2)
7    Sec. 2. No person, firm or corporation shall maintain or
8operate a refrigerated warehouse without a license to do so
9issued by the Department. Any person, firm or corporation
10desiring such a license shall make written application to the
11Department for that purpose, stating the location of the
12refrigerated warehouse. The Director or his agents thereupon
13shall make an examination of the refrigerated warehouse and, if
14it is in a proper sanitary condition and otherwise properly
15equipped for its intended use, he shall issue a license
16authorizing the applicant to operate it as a refrigerated
17warehouse for one year. The licensing cycle shall be the same
18as the State fiscal year and a license shall be issued upon
19payment by the applicant of a license fee of $50 per annum to
20the Department.
21    Any license issued under the provisions of the Act herein
22repealed that is valid immediately prior to the time this Act
23takes effect shall be considered as a license issued under the

1provisions of this Act and shall continue in effect until its
2expiration date unless sooner revoked under the provisions of
3this Act.
