SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jack L. Foley of Bloomington, who passed away on June 16, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Jack Foley was born in Clinton to Edward J. and Bernice L. Gowdy Foley on February 9, 1931; he proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War; he married JoAnn Todd in Kenney on December 20, 1951; and

WHEREAS, Jack Foley worked for General Electric in Bloomington for 36 years; after his retirement in 1991, he worked with his grandchildren at Stark Excavating for over 20 years; and

WHEREAS, Jack Foley attended Calvary United Methodist Church in Normal; and

WHEREAS, Jack Foley was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and one sister; and

WHEREAS, Jack Foley is survived by his wife, JoAnn; his daughters, Debra Ann (William) McNamara and Patricia (Peter) Stark-Estes; his grandchildren, David Stark Jr., Gregory Stark, Sarah Stark, and Karen (Brad) Frye; and his four great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jack L. Foley and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jack Foley as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
