SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Charles Lawrence "Chuck" Celaric of Waukegan, who passed away on December 18, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Chuck Celaric was born in Waukegan to Carl Albert and Marjorie Celaric on August 14, 1950; he grew up with a sense of humor and a love of animals, astronomy, and the cosmos; he served in the United States Air Force, where he was a Sergeant with Security Police and worked as a Military Working Dog Handler during the Vietnam War; and

WHEREAS, After completing his military service, Chuck Celaric worked at the Waukegan Developmental Center; he then began his decades-long career at Illinois Bell, where he was an installer and then a repairman before retiring from AT&T; and

WHEREAS, Chuck Celaric was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Louise Celaric; his father, Carl Celaric; and his aunt, Christine Musick; and

WHEREAS, Chuck Celaric is survived by his daughters, Emily Jeanne (James) Kowal and Amanda Leigh (fiance Barry Oglesby) Celaric; his mother, Marjorie Celaric; his brother, Michael (Karyn) Celaric; his niece, Emma Celaric; his sister, Karen Celaric; and his dearest friend since childhood, Russell Tennyson; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Charles Lawrence "Chuck" Celaric and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Chuck Celaric as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
