SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

730 ILCS 110/18

Amends the Probation and Probation Officers Act. Provides that all probation and court services departments are to be considered pretrial services agencies under the Pretrial Services Act and under bail provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning criminal law.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Probation and Probation Officers Act is amended by changing Section 18 as follows:

Sec. 18. Probation and court services departments considered pretrial services agencies. All For the purposes of administering the provisions of Public Act 95-773, known as the Cindy Bischof Law, all probation and court services departments are to be considered pretrial services agencies under the Pretrial Services Act and under the bail bond provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963.
