SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
720 ILCS 5/33E-17

    Amends the Criminal Code of 2012. Provides that whoever, being an officer, director, agent, or employee of, or affiliated in any capacity with any State government participates, shares in, or receives directly or indirectly any money, profit, property, or benefit through any contract with the unit of State government with the intent to defraud the unit of State government is guilty of a Class 3 felony.

1    AN ACT concerning criminal law.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Criminal Code of 2012 is amended by changing
5Section 33E-17 as follows:
 
6    (720 ILCS 5/33E-17)
7    Sec. 33E-17. Unlawful participation. Whoever, being an
8officer, director, agent, or employee of, or affiliated in any
9capacity with any unit of State government, unit of local
10government, or school district participates, shares in, or
11receives receiving directly or indirectly any money, profit,
12property, or benefit through any contract with the unit of
13State government, unit of local government, or school district,
14with the intent to defraud the unit of State government, unit
15of local government, or school district is guilty of a Class 3
16felony.
