SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Della Imogene Kinser of Greenfield, who passed away on May 9, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Della Kinser was born in Greene County to John Harley and Ida Irene (Bowers) Allen on February 29, 1932; she married Guy O. Kinser Jr. at the Rockbridge Baptist Church in Rockbridge on December 9, 1951; and

WHEREAS, Della Kinser was a Brownie Scout Leader, 4-H Leader, an election judge, and a member of the Illinois Pork Producers Association; and

WHEREAS, Della Kinser was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Group, the Catholic Daughters of America, and taught catechism classes; she also enjoyed crafts, sewing, and gardening; and

WHEREAS, Della Kinser was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Rosemary Rives, Lucy Ridder, and Elizabeth Allen; her brothers, William and Edgar Allen; and her grandson, Quinten Kinser; and

WHEREAS, Della Kinser is survived by her husband, Guy; her daughter, Guylia (David) Grigsby; her sons, Benjamin (Suzi) Kinser, Michael (Sherry) Kinser, John (Gina) Kinser, and James Kinser; her grandchildren, Philip (Mark Fong) Grigsby, Timothy Grigsby, Angela (Ryker) Scott, Melissa (Chris) McMillen, Julie Kinser, Rachel Kinser, Joseph (Beth) Kinser, Josh (Kayla) Kinser, Kaitlin (Jeffrey) Wilhite, Zain Kinser, Zoe Kinser, Kate (John) Borgens, and Derek Grey; her great-grandchildren, Venessa Scott, Jordan and Breanna McMillen, Kylie, Ava, Duke, and Cullan Kinser, and Isabella, Chase, and Gabriel Borgens; her brother, Raymond (Carolyn) Allen; her sisters, Ruby McMurl, Lois Baker, and Joyce Harbaugh; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Della Imogene Kinser, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Della Kinser as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
