SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Walter Pupich, who passed away on March 3, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Walter Pupich was born on August 3, 1936; his parents were Risto and Julia Pupich; and

WHEREAS, Walter Pupich was employed for many years behind the pharmacy counter at Braun Drugs and later Osco Pharmacy; he also served as School Board President of Huntley School District #158; and

WHEREAS, Walter Pupich was a dedicated member of the First United Methodist Church and was integral in the planning and execution of numerous church projects; and

WHEREAS, Walter Pupich will be remembered fondly for his great dignity, gentleness, and unending kindness; sitting on his desk at the time of his passing was his life motto, words by Francis of Assisi: "Preach the gospel at all times. If necessary, use words."; he accomplished this task even in the most difficult of times; and

WHEREAS, Walter Pupich is survived by his wife, June F. Pupich; his children, Sharon (Dean), Chris (Linda), Holly (Dan), and Tanya (Kip); his 10 grandchildren; and his siblings and their spouses, Bill and Mary Pupich, Lou and Marie Pupich, and Jan and Michael Schwartz; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Walter Pupich; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Walter Pupich as an expression of our sympathy.
