SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William L. Sandlin of Pekin, who passed away on March 20, 2011; and

WHEREAS, He was born November 22, 1937, in Peoria, to William A. and Lois Cottingham Sandlin; he later married Mary Schmeilski in Peoria; and

WHEREAS, He was the owner and operator of S&S License and Title Service for many years, retiring in 2003; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his brothers, William A. Jr. and Douglas; and his parents; and

WHEREAS, William Sandlin is survived by his wife; his daughter, Terrie; his sons, Thomas L. (Vicki), Michael A. (Susan), Timothy W. (Lisa), Troy A. (Melissa), and David E. (Dawn); his 20 grandchildren; his 24 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Robert (Corrine) and Clifford (Karen); and his sister, Carol J. (Kelly) Lancaster; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of William Sandlin; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of William Sandlin as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
