SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Lieutenant Randall R. Kramp of Aurora and
4a proud member of the Aurora Fire Department, who recently
5passed away; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Randall graduated from East Aurora High School in
71985 and from Lewis University in 1990; although he enjoyed his
8employment at the Aurora Airport in aviation maintenance, his
9proudest accomplishment was joining the Aurora Fire Department
10in 1994; he was the sixth man in three generations of his
11family to serve; he was also a paramedic and a member of the
12Scuba Rescue Team; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Boy Scouts always played an important role in his
14life, giving him his love and respect for the outdoors and
15camping; he was an Eagle Scout and had recently received a
16District Merit Award; he was active in Scouts his entire life;
17and
 
18    WHEREAS, Randy's childhood dream of owning cool lawnmowers
19(some dreams are smaller than others) came true when he started
20a part-time lawn mowing service; another dream of his was to
21fly and he made that come true when he earned his private
22pilot's license; and

1    WHEREAS, He married Ruth Stammer, on April 6, 2002; they
2made their home in Aurora but their favorite place to spend
3time together was at their 'piece of heaven' in Wisconsin;
4although life did not allow them time to build a cabin, the
5plans they made around the campfire or floating on their boat
6are happy memories for Ruth; he was an active member of St.
7Rita of Cascia Church, the Phoenix Club, and the Aurora
8Firefighters Local 99; and
 
9    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph
10Kramp; and his nephew, Christopher Hankes; and
 
11    WHEREAS, He leaves to mourn him, yet cherish his memory,
12his loving wife and best friend, Ruth; his mother, Alice Kramp;
13his sisters, Tari (Scott) Hankes, Barb (Stan) Myers, and Linda
14(Chuck) Leese; his in-laws, Francis and Rose Marie Stammer;
15Ruth's siblings, Mary "Francie" (Ron) Smart, Janni (Mike Young)
16Stammer, Don (Debra) Stammer, Julie (Richard) Smith, Lori
17(Dennis) Hahn, and Patrick (Yasmine) Stammer; his beloved
18nieces and nephews, Kayte Hankes, Kelly Michael, and Noah
19Myers, Morgan Leese, April, Tony, and Patrick Stammer, John
20Smart, Samantha Young, and Joseph, Ellie, and David Hahn; and
21his closest friends, Chris (who he met in grade school) and
22Karen Mang, Brad and Janice Westrom, and Chris and Lisa Oros;
23therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
3his family, friends, and colleagues, the passing of Randall
4Kramp; and be it further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Randall Kramp as a symbol of our
7sincere sympathy.
