SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of James T. Williamson of Piasa, who passed away on February 11, 2009; and

WHEREAS, James Williamson was born on July 11, 1937; his parents were Desmere Williamson and Margaret (Egan); and

WHEREAS, In 1972, James Williamson formed what is now the law firm of Williamson, Webster, Falb, and Glisson of Alton; he previously practiced law for many years in St. Louis, Madison, and St. Clair Counties; and

WHEREAS, James Williamson was an active member of the Alton-Wood River and Madison County Bar Associations; and

WHEREAS, James Williamson was an avid patron of opera and the arts; and

WHEREAS, James Williamson is survived by his daughter, Dr. Heather Williamson, and her husband, James Quirk; his son, Jimmy Williamson II; his grandchildren, Patrick and Caitlin Quirk; his brother, Donald Williamson; and his former spouse, Dr. Carolyn Franke; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of James T. Williamson; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of James Williamson as an expression of our sympathy.
