SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Kenneth L. Kantola of Waukegan, who passed away on January 29, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Kantola was born on November 24, 1939 in Waukegan; he was a graduate of North Chicago High School's class of 1957; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Kantola was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1963 to 1965; he was a past President of the Louisiana Association of Accredited Travel Agencies and served as Vice President of Sales for the Whittemore-Wright Company; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Kantola was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; his brother, Richard; his parents, Carl and Mary Kantola; and his sister-in-law, Jean Kantola; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Kantola is survived by his brothers, Charles (Evelyn), Ronald (Edith), and Robert (Patricia) Kantola; his several nieces and nephews; and his special friend, Peg Raasch; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Kenneth L. Kantola; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Kenneth Kantola as an expression of our sympathy.
