SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Golda Mae Gentile of Carterville, who passed away on April 13, 2010; and

WHEREAS, Golda Gentile was born on November 23, 1929, in rural Williamson County; she was the daughter of William and Pearl (Thomas) Chew; she married Dominick Antonio Rocco "Mimi" Gentile in Piggott, Arkansas on January 22, 1947; and

WHEREAS, Golda Gentile was a homemaker who enjoyed dressing up, sending flowers, and cheering people up; and

WHEREAS, Golda Gentile was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her sisters, Pauline Bollinger and Edna Dunning; and her brother, Billy Chew; and

WHEREAS, Golda Gentile is survived by her sons, Jim and Judy Gentile and Marty Gentile; her grandchildren, Jill and Mike Lentz, Janae and Brad McGee, Justin and Shanna Gentile, Joy and Dustin Craig, Jason Gentile, and Brittany and Sam Garten; her great-grandchildren, Courtney McGee, Morgan Lentz, Kelsey Lentz, Reese Gentile, Dominick Gentile, Nolan Gentile, Hudson Craig, Delaney Craig, and Layla Garten; her brother, Carl Chew; her special niece, Mimi Jo Miracle; her special nephew, Mike Chew; and her many beloved nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Golda Mae Gentile; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Golda Gentile as an expression of our sympathy.
