1 SENATE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Vern I. McCarthy Jr. of Oak Brook, who
4 passed away on February 25, 2010; and

5     WHEREAS, Vern McCarthy Jr. was born on May 12, 1927, in
6 Melrose Park; his parents were Vern I. and Vivien (nee Decker)
7 McCarthy Sr.; and

8     WHEREAS, Vern McCarthy Jr. is survived by his children,
9 Kenton V. McCarthy, Leslie A. (Scott) Miller, and Brian P.
10 (Tracy) McCarthy; his grandchildren, Brett, Blake, and Matthew
11 Miller and Samantha and Sydney McCarthy; his sister, Rianna
12 (Willie) Williams; and his brother-in-law, Richard (Irene)
13 Donohoe; therefore, be it

14     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
15 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
16 his family and friends, the passing of Vern I. McCarthy Jr.;
17 and be it further

18     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19 presented to the family of Vern McCarthy Jr. as an expression
20 of our sympathy.
