SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Myrtle Evelyn Towne of North Chicago, who
4 passed away on March 2, 2010; and
 
5     WHEREAS, She was born on March 2, 1920 in Bass Lake,
6 Wisconsin, and was a lifelong resident of North Chicago; and
 
7     WHEREAS, She was retired from Abbott Laboratory in North
8 Chicago; she was devoted to her loving family and was a
9 lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church; and
 
10     WHEREAS, She loved to travel with the Waukegan Social Club,
11 and she loved to do arts and crafts and bird watching along
12 with her 2 loving cats, Jit and T.T.; and
 
13     WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald
14 (Bud) Towne; her daughter, Dona Rae Cessna; her great-grandson,
15 Joseph Wade Gilbert; her brothers, Clinton and Dean Anderson;
16 her sisters, Edna Dean and Ethel Scribner, and her parents,
17 John and Maude Anderson; and
 
18     WHEREAS, Her life was devoted to her family; her daughters,
19 Sharon Perini and Linda (Jim) Walenter; her grandchildren, Kim
20 Maroney and Ronald Towne, Winona (Jim) Lavris, Cam Wallert,

1 Paul Perini, and Troy (Diana) Laughlin; her many
2 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Eunice Dobnikar and Eleanor
3 Siwula; and her many loving nieces and nephews, especially
4 Johnny Pfister; therefore, be it
 
5     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
6 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
7 her family and friends, the passing of Myrtle Towne; and be it
8 further
 
9     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10 presented to the family of Myrtle Towne as a symbol of our
11 sincere sympathy.
