SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Dorothy Lynn Forehand of Rosewood Heights, who passed away on February 22, 2010; and

WHEREAS, She was born on June 25, 1951, in Alton, the daughter of William T. "Bill" and Betty L. (Greenwood) Broadway; she married Lawrence W. "Larry" Forehand on June 9, 1973, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto; and

WHEREAS, She worked as food service director at Alton Memorial Hospital for 21 years; she was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton; she was a wonderful cook and baker and enjoyed shopping, traveling, and attending sporting events; she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter; and

WHEREAS, Dorothy Forehand is survived by her husband, Lawrence; her parents; her daughters and a son-in-law, Amy and Andrew Weaver and Julie Forehand; her grandchildren, Katie Beth Weaver and Jake Weaver; her brother and sister-in-law, David K. and Gayla Broadway; her nephews, Keith and Kyle Broadway, Anthony Ritz, Ryan Cooper, and Andrew Myer; her father and mother-in-law, David Warren and Virginia Forehand; and her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Janice and Bob Andrews and Donna and Paul Myer; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Dorothy Forehand; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Dorothy Forehand as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
