SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Amanda Jean Prucnell, a resident of Clearbrook in Rolling Meadows and a longtime resident of Palatine, who passed away on February 13, 2010; and

WHEREAS, She was born July 5, 1989, in Tampa, Florida; Amanda had been a student at Kirk School in Palatine where she was currently a "super senior"; she had been very involved with Northwest Special Recreation Association (NWSRA) for many years and participated in Special Olympics, where she received multiple gold and silver medals; and

WHEREAS, Amanda will be remembered as "the girl with the permanent smile who never met a stranger"; she was a social butterfly throughout the entire community; and

WHEREAS, Amanda was loved by so many friends and family, and will be deeply missed; she is survived by her mother, Jean A. (William) Brandt; her father, Stephen C. (Kathleen) Prucnell; her sister, Jennifer Prucnell; her maternal grandparents, Helen (the late Howard) Bittner; her paternal grandparents, Barbara (Stephen) Prucnell; her uncles, Mark Prucnell, Michael (Patricia) Bittner, and Jack (Cindy) Bittner; and her aunt, Irene (Edward) Cauwels; also surviving is the entire Brandt family and her loving companion, Biscuit The Beagle; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Amanda Jean Prucnell; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Amanda Jean Prucnell as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
