SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ozzie Mazzetta of Highwood, who passed away on June 6, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Ozzie Mazzetta retired from Metropolitan Life after 35 years of dedicated service; he was also the owner of Billie's Women's Apparel in Highwood; and

WHEREAS, Ozzie Mazzetta was the founder and Board Chairman of the Highwood Small Fry Basketball organization for 40 years; and

WHEREAS, Ozzie Mazzetta was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Marsillia Mazzetta, and his brothers, Tom and Petey; and

WHEREAS, Ozzie Mazzetta was the beloved husband of the late Gloria (nee Masini); the loving father of Tom (Cindy), Carole, and Marty; and the cherished grandfather of Brandon and Matt Mixter and Jordan and Zachary Mazzetta; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Ozzie Mazzetta; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ozzie Mazzetta as an expression of our sympathy.
