| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | | 3 |
| learn of the death of
Thomas J. Royce, Sr. of Rogers Park, who | | 4 |
| passed away on October 3, 2009; and
| | 5 |
| WHEREAS, Thomas Royce, Sr. was born on August 31, 1945; he | | 6 |
| was a lifelong resident of Rogers Park; and
| | 7 |
| WHEREAS, Thomas Royce, Sr. is survived by his wife, Janet; | | 8 |
| his children; Jennifer (Bill) Pistorious, Melissa (Scott) | | 9 |
| Garrigan, Thomas J. Royce Jr., Colleen (Brian) Lautenbach, and | | 10 |
| Matthew (Mary) Royce; and his grandchildren, Jack, Caleigh, | | 11 |
| Molly, and Bridget Pistorious, Annika, Oran, Kaspar, and Freya | | 12 |
| Lautenbach, and Olive Royce; and
| | 13 |
| WHEREAS, Thomas Royce, Sr. will be remembered by all who | | 14 |
| knew and loved him as a man whose loyalty, strength, and | | 15 |
| compassion endeared him to everyone he met; therefore, be it
| | 16 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL | | 17 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | | 18 |
| his family and friends, the passing of Thomas J. Royce, Sr.; | | 19 |
| and be it further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
