SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Florence Mae Zimmerman of Hanna City, who passed away on September 11, 2009; and

WHEREAS, She was born on December 11, 1912 to Louis and Anna (Mohn) White; she married Walter William Zimmerman on November 3, 1935 in Peoria; and

WHEREAS, She was a homemaker and had worked at Chic Manufacturing Company in Peoria in the past; and

WHEREAS, She enjoyed bird watching and gardening; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; her parents; her son, Dr. Michael Zimmerman; her sisters; and her brother; and

WHEREAS, She is survived by her sons, David Zimmerman and James (Ellen) Zimmerman; her daughter, Janet Siemens; her ten grandchildren; and her five great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Florence Mae Zimmerman; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Florence Mae Zimmerman as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
