SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Clare L. Postel, who passed away on September 1, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Clare Postel was a former employee of Commonwealth Edison, Goldblatts, and Burger King; and

WHEREAS, Clare Postel was a member and past choir member of St. Anne Catholic Church of Crest Hill; and

WHEREAS, Clare Postel was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond "Pete" Postel; her son, John F. Postel; her parents, Francis J. and Clara E. (Haverstuhl) McCarthy; her brother, James Richard McCarthy; and her granddaughters, Kristine Murphy and Nichole Murphy; and

WHEREAS, Clare Postel is survived by her children, James (Therese Onderisin) Postel, Mary (Robert) Nemanich, Nancy Murphy, Rita Postel, Joan (Ron) Nurczyk, Mike (Nancy) Postel, Dan (Barb) Postel, Ann Postel, and Leo (Brigitte) Postel; her grandchildren, Amy Postel (Bernard) Koontz, Greg Postel, Sarah C. Postel, Todd (Athena) Nemanich, Mark and Ross Nemanich, Michelle (Scott) Allen, Sarah A. Postel, Trina (Jerome) Semoes, Nick Postel, Shannon Postel, Cassie and Kelli Clement, and Kaylee and Olivia Postel; her step-grandchildren, Ryan and Colleen Nurczyk and their children, Haley and Ava, Justin and Nicole Nurczyk and their children, Chase and Teagan, Rick Backensto, Nannette and Jared Bailey and their daughter, Hailey, Deserae and Chris Frye and their children, Camille, Alyssa, and Nolan, Adam Rodriguez, and Tristan, Ellia, and Collin Leger; her great-grandchildren, Felix Postel Koontz, Xavier Postel Koontz, Cora Louise Nemanich, Ashley, Zachary, Emma, and Christopher Allen, Seth Semoes, and Brennan Semoes; her sister, Cele Ann (Rich) Ivnik; her sister-in-law, Mary (the late Ray) Ditsch; and her many nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Clare L. Postel; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Clare Postel as an expression of our sympathy.
