SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Norah Ann Sivia, who passed away on July 10, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Norah Ann Sivia was born on July 20, 1927 in Waukegan; her parents were Michael and Hannah Fuller; she married George Sivia on January 20, 1949; he preceded her in death in 1975; and

WHEREAS, Norah Ann Sivia attended Immaculate Conception Grade School and Holy Child High School in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Norah Ann Sivia was preceded in death by her husband, George; her daughter, Mary Kay; her son, Timmy; her grandson, Michael Corrigan; her parents; her brothers, Joe, Jimmy, and Willy; and her sisters, Mary, Jane, and Jeanette; and

WHEREAS, Norah Ann Sivia is survived by her children, Mike Sivia, Pat (Don) Styx, Kathy Sivia-Corrigan, Joe (Maureen) Sivia, Sue (Mike) Dieck, Tom (Kathy) Sivia, Jim (Debbie) Sivia, Margaret (Craig Peterson) Sivia, John (Terry) Sivia, and Danny (Michael Horton) Sivia; her grandchildren, Sean and Eric (Jennifer) Styx, Jimmy Corrigan, Kerry and Kevin Sivia, Ryan (Tammy) and Chris Dolence, Will and Erin Sivia, Katrina Carter and Jimmy Sivia, Michelle and Anna Krotowski, and Brian, Adam, David, and Emily Sivia; her 6 great-grandchildren; her brother-in-law, Ray Wallin; her very special nieces, Barb Reckling and Jody O'Rourke; her nephew, John Wallin; and her many other family members; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Norah Ann Sivia; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Norah Ann Sivia as an expression of our sympathy.
