SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Richard Eugene "Rick" Goodman of Carlinville, who passed away on May 6, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Richard Goodman was born on August 1, 1958 in Carlinville; he was the son of Franklin Eugene Goodman and Janice Lee McCawley; he married Debra A. Goodman on June 16, 1979 in Carlinville; and

WHEREAS, Richard Goodman began working for Ketrings in Carlinville in 1976; he continued his work as an engineer after the company later became PMW of Illinois, working there until 2003; in 2004, he began working at Prairie Farms Dairy in the dairy's plant; and

WHEREAS, Richard Goodman is survived by his wife; his daughters, Ashley Goodman (fiance, Andrew Bloomer) and Alison "Ali" Goodman; his parents; his brothers, Ronald Goodman (Jean) and Randall Joe Goodman (Sharon); his sisters, Renee "Nee" Behme (Darren) and Regina "Tink" Boente (Greg); his grandmother, Eula Ornellas; and his several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Richard Eugene "Rick" Goodman; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Richard Goodman as an expression of our sympathy.
