SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Carolyn Gordon Hewitt of Hinsdale, who passed away on November 25, 2010; and

WHEREAS, She was born August 30, 1927 in Oak Park, the adored daughter of the late William Kenneth Gordon and Helen Manning Gordon; and

WHEREAS, She was a graduate of Lyons Township High School and the University of Iowa; she received a Masters Degree in Fine Arts at The American Academy of Art and was a long time resident of Hinsdale; and

WHEREAS, She was an avid gardener and a gifted artist who enjoyed all elements of painting; she was known for her fun loving nature, hearty laugh, and great listening skills; and

WHEREAS, She was the cherished mother of David Hewitt, Douglass Hewitt, and Carrie Hewitt Dennis; beloved Mother-in-law of Marilyn Hewitt, Susan Geisenheimer, and Paul Dennis; adored grandmother of Amy Wilson, Sally Hewitt, Benjamin Hewitt, and Jessica Hewitt, Katie Dennis, and Scott Dennis; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Carolyn Hewitt; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Carolyn Hewitt as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
