325 ILCS 20/20

    Amends the Early Intervention Services System Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the Early Intervention Services Revolving Fund.

1     AN ACT concerning children.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Early Intervention Services System Act is
5 amended by changing Section 20 as follows:
 
6     (325 ILCS 20/20)
7     Sec. 20. Early Intervention Services Revolving Fund. There
8 is created a revolving fund to be known as the the Early
9 Intervention Services Revolving Fund, to be held by the lead
10 agency.
11     The Early Intervention Services Revolving Fund shall be
12 used to the extent determined necessary by the lead agency to
13 pay for early intervention services.
14     Local Accounts for such purposes may be established by the
15 lead agency.
16     Expenditures from the Early Intervention Services
17 Revolving Fund shall be made in accordance with applicable
18 program provisions and shall be limited to those purposes and
19 amounts specified under applicable program guidelines. Funding
20 of the Fund shall be from family fees, insurance company
21 payments, federal financial participation received as
22 reimbursement for expenditures from the Fund, and
23 appropriations made to the State agencies involved in the

1 payment for early intervention services under this Act.
2     Disbursements from the Early Intervention Services
3 Revolving Fund shall be made as determined by the lead agency
4 or its designee. Funds in the Early Intervention Services
5 Revolving Fund or the local accounts created under this Section
6 that are not immediately required for expenditure may be
7 invested in certificates of deposit or other interest bearing
8 accounts. Any interest earned shall be deposited in the Early
9 Intervention Services Revolving Fund.
