1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the
4 Jacksonville Our Savior Shamrocks 7th grade boys basketball
5 team for winning the IESA Class 1A State Championship; and

6     WHEREAS, The Our Savior Shamrocks defeated Joliet Laraway
7 28-25 on February 11, 2010 in Mt. Sterling to win the IESA
8 Class 1A State Championship; and

9     WHEREAS, The members of the Our Savior Shamrocks are Dean
10 Arendt, Adam Birdsell, John Garde, Kirby Hartz, Aaron
11 Hufendick, Mathew Jackson, Will Lindsey, Joseph Nix, Zack
12 Overton, and Conner Stremlau; the team's head coach is Rich
13 Smith and the assistant coach is Devon Vaughn; and

14     WHEREAS, The members of the Our Savior Shamrocks serve as
15 models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people
16 of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

17     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
19 congratulate the members of the Jacksonville Our Savior
20 Shamrocks 7th grade boys basketball team for winning the IESA
21 Class 1A State Championship and wish them continued success and

1 happiness in the future; and be it further

2     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
3 presented to Our Savior Shamrocks head coach Rich Smith as a
4 symbol of our esteem and respect.
