1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
3 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
4 the Board of Higher Education shall establish a commission to
5 study ways in which the Illinois Procurement Code may be
6 revised so that purchases by public universities can be
7 completed in a more efficient manner; the commission shall be
8 comprised of one member from each campus of each public
9 university, appointed by the respective university president;
10 each member must have knowledge and experience dealing with
11 issues concerning the Illinois Procurement Code; and be it
12 further

13     RESOLVED, That the commission shall make recommendations
14 to the General Assembly concerning the revision of the Illinois
15 Procurement Code by filing a report as provided in Section 3.1
16 of the General Assembly Organization Act on or before September
17 1, 2010; upon filing its report the commission is dissolved;
18 and be it further

19     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20 presented to the Board of Higher Education.
