HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Robert J. Thull on the occasion of his retirement from the Illinois Department of Corrections after 25 years of distinguished service; and

WHEREAS, Robert J. Thull began his service with the Department of Corrections in January of 1985 as a correctional officer at the Vandalia Correctional Center; he later joined the staff of the Maintenance Department and was named Chief Maintenance Officer; and

WHEREAS, Robert J. Thull has not only served as a dedicated employee for the Illinois Department of Corrections, but also as an admired and respected member of his community of Ramsey; and

WHEREAS, Robert J. Thull and his wife, Pamela, are the proud parents of 4 daughters and a son; the couple also has 4 wonderful grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Robert J. Thull serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Robert J. Thull on the occasion of his retirement, thank him for his many years of service and dedication to the citizens of the State of Illinois, and wish him many happy and healthy retirement years enjoying his family and rooting for his beloved Atlanta Braves; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Robert J. Thull as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
