HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Linda A. Blau of McHenry, who passed away on December 14, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Linda Blau was born on July 14, 1952, in Chicago; her parents were Robert and Adele (James) Blau; and

WHEREAS, Linda Blau served as a corrections officer with the Lake County Sheriff's Office since 1987; she was well-known by her peers as a caring and generous mentor; she served in many capacities within the jail in Lake County over the years, including work in the Community Based Corrections Center and having direct supervision over inmates; and

WHEREAS, Linda Blau was a member of St. Gilbert Church in Grayslake and St. Mary's Church in McHenry; she also was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police; and

WHEREAS, Linda Blau was preceded in death by her father, Robert Blau, and her brother, Curt Blau; and

WHEREAS, Linda Blau is survived by her mother, Adele; her children, Sara Stosur and Steven Stosur; her grandchildren, Frankie and Katelyn; and her sister, Sue Faught; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Linda A. Blau; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Linda Blau as an expression of our sympathy.
