HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the faculty, staff, and students of the Clifford Crone Middle School in Naperville on the occasion of being the recipient of a 2009 Blue Ribbon Award from the United States Department of Education; and

WHEREAS, The Blue Ribbon Schools Program honors public and private elementary, middle, and high schools that are either academically superior or that demonstrate dramatic gains in student achievement to high levels; Clifford Crone Middle School was one of only 16 schools in the State to be picked for this prestigious award, placing the school in the top tier of schools in this State and the nation at large; and

WHEREAS, Clifford Crone Middle School received a Blue Ribbon School Flag and Plaque from the United States Department of Education in recognition of this outstanding achievement; and

WHEREAS, The incredible success that Clifford Crone Middle School has enjoyed would not be possible without the hard work and dedication displayed by the students, the teachers, and the parents, who have worked together to provide an excellent learning experience for the school's students; the school serves as a model of the great things that dedication and hard work can do for the children of this nation; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the faculty, staff, and students of the Clifford Crone Middle School in Naperville on the occasion of being the recipient of a 2009 Blue Ribbon Award and wish them continued success and happiness in their future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Stan Gorbatkin, principal of Clifford Crone Middle School, as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
