HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Jena Hemann on the occasion of her spectacular performance at the IHSA 2009 Girls Class 1A High School State Track and Field Meet on May 21-23, 2009 at the O'Brien Stadium on the campus of Eastern Illinois University; and

WHEREAS, During the meet, Jena Hemann placed first in the high jump event, second in the long jump and triple jump events, and third in the 100-meter dash; she also earned enough individual points to help the Breese Central Girls Track Team claim a second place victory at the meet; and

WHEREAS, Jena Hemann serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Jena Hemann on the occasion of her spectacular performance at the IHSA 2009 Girls Class 1A High School State Track and Field Meet and wish her continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Jena Hemann as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
