HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Beverly Frett, director of library media services at Robert Clow Elementary School in Naperville, for her hard work and dedication which enabled the school to win the National School Library Media Program of the Year Award from the American Library Association; and

WHEREAS, Established in 1963, the National School Library Media Program of the Year Award honors schools that provide library media programs that are fully integrated into the school's curriculum and adhere to state, national, and association standards; three winners were named in the U.S., with each school receiving a $10,000 prize; and

WHEREAS, Beverly Frett has been a resident of Naperville for 29 years; she has been checking out books at Clow Elementary School's library media center since 1989; and

WHEREAS, Beverly Frett spent five months diligently working on the application for the award; her efforts paid off in the form of national recognition and valuable funding for her school; and

WHEREAS, Beverly Frett serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Beverly Frett for her hard work and dedication which enabled the school to win the National School Library Media Program of the Year Award and wish her continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Beverly Frett as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
