HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to acknowledge Mr. John L. Wroan III for his generous donation in providing resources for the Wroan Engineering and Technology Center; and

WHEREAS, Illinois State University's 17th President, Al Bowman, is dedicating and naming the Wroan Engineering and Technology Center at the University High School on the campus of Illinois State University in honor of Mr. Wroan; and

WHEREAS, The Wroan Engineering and Technology Center will provide premier research, design, and production opportunities for the University's high school students; the center will also provide a model of learner-centered technology education for our future educators; and

WHEREAS, The Wroan Engineering and Technology Center will allow the University's high school students to investigate important technologies and their influence on society; design solutions for human problems, both small and large; produce accurate prototypes of engineering designs; and enhance the preparation of students for careers in engineering, technology, and related fields; and

WHEREAS, John L. Wroan III serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that that we honor John L. Wroan III for his dedicated service in providing resources to Illinois State University and congratulate him on the naming of the Wroan Engineering and Technology Center; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to John L. Wroan III as a symbol of our esteem, respect, and gratitude.
