HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the people of Addison and the staff of the Addison Recreation Club as they celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Club; and

WHEREAS, The Addison Recreation Club was formed sixty years ago for the purpose of providing youth sports to the children of the Village of Addison, School District 88, and School District 4; and

WHEREAS, The Addison Recreation Club is a non-profit organization that provides baseball, football, basketball, and cheerleading to boys and girls; and

WHEREAS, The Addison Recreation Club provides mentoring for the youth of the community in sportsmanship, teamwork, schoolwork, and camaraderie, preparing children for high school and later years; and

WHEREAS, The Addison Recreation Club is a group of volunteers devoting their free time and personal knowledge in sports to develop, nurture, and guide children; and

WHEREAS, The Addison Recreation Club is committed to giving children the opportunity to play in the sport of their choice and has implemented a philosophy entitled "No Children Turned Away"; with the current economic situation in the country the Addison Recreation Club is providing free signup for the sports programs for those children who cannot afford to pay for them; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate everyone involved in the Addison Recreation Club and its programs and wish them continued success in their future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to a representative of the Addison Recreation Club as a symbol of our respect.
