HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Lisle High School Boys Soccer Team, the Lions, on winning their first regional, sectional, and State titles; and

WHEREAS, The Lions defeated Peoria Christian with a score of 1-0 to win the Class 1A State championship on October 30, 2010; and

WHEREAS, The Lions won their first boys State title in any sport; and

WHEREAS, The Lions are led by Head Coach Paul Kohorn, who has coached the team since 2003; he is aided by Assistant Coach Kevin Perez; and

WHEREAS, The championship match was the 100th victory for the Lions and Coach Kohorn, who announced that he was retiring as coach after this year; and

WHEREAS, The members of the team are: Brian Fielder, Kazim Khan, Ben Buchelt, Jake Krpan, Eric Osika, Kyle Hendzel, Brad Blechschmidt, Ryan Kilroy, Josh Soukup, Pat Webb, Matt Gill, Grant Fitzgerald, Brett Ponczek, Jacob Soukup, Mitch Boyce, Franceso La Rosa, Ian Parks, Ak Kamara, Billy Dicky, Taylor Morten, Klaudijus Zemartis, George Ancede, Max Tarasewicz, Elijah Bester, Jimmy Gill, and Karl Burba; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Lisle Lions on a tremendously successful season and on their State title; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Coach Paul Kohorn and the Lisle Lions Soccer Team as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
