HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Mary Alice D'Arcy on her retirement as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Easter Seals of DuPage County and the Fox Valley Region; and

WHEREAS, She has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Easter Seals of DuPage County and the Fox Valley Region from November of 1995; she was the Manager of Family Support Services from March 1995 to November 1995; the Director of Ancillary Services from 1990 to March 1995; the Program Director from 1983 to 1990; and the Director of Social Services from 1981 to 1983; and

WHEREAS, Previously she served as the Executive Director of Marian Park, Inc. and the Marian Park Living Learning Corporation; she served as the Wheaton School District 200 Social Worker; and worked with Denver Catholic Charities as a Case Worker in the Foster Home Department; and

WHEREAS, Her educational achievements include Credential Specialist, Early Intervention Supervisor and Family Support Specialist with the State of Illinois; a Master's degree in Social Work from Loyola University; and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Marillac College; and

WHEREAS, She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the State of Illinois; a former Licensed Social Worker with the State of Illinois from 1970 to 1992; a Certified School Social Worker with the State of Illinois; she holds a Certificate in Family & Senior Citizen Housing Management/National Center for Housing Management in Washington, D.C; she has professional affiliations with the National Association of Social Workers and the Illinois Association of Social Workers; and

WHEREAS, She received the Myrtle M. and Tom B. Medders Award for Management Excellence in April 2003; and the Outstanding President and CEO of all Easter Seals affiliates nationwide in 2003; under her direction the Easter Seals DuPage and the Fox Valley Region was awarded the highest possible accreditation for outpatient rehabilitation from the Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) in 2007 and 2010; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Mary Alice D'Arcy on her retirement and wish her well in her future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Mary Alice D'Arcy as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
