1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate the owners and
4 employees of the Chesterfield Tom Thumb Day Care Center in
5 Chicago on the occasion of the organization's 40th anniversary;
6 and

7     WHEREAS, The Chesterfield Tom Thumb Day Care Center is a
8 private, early childhood program/day care center school
9 located in Chicago that serves 53 pre-kindergarten and
10 kindergarten students; in 2008, Chesterfield Tom Thumb Day Care
11 Center had 15 students for every full-time equivalent teacher;
12 and

13     WHEREAS, The owners and employees of the Chesterfield Tom
14 Thumb Day Care Center will celebrate the 40th anniversary of
15 the center with a celebration at the center's Little Black
16 Pearl Workshop on October 9, 2010; and

17     WHEREAS, The staff of the Chesterfield Tom Thumb Day Care
18 Center serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and
19 dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore,
20 be it

21     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

1 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
2 congratulate the owners and employees of the Chesterfield Tom
3 Thumb Day Care Center in Chicago on the occasion of the
4 organization's 40th anniversary and wish them continued
5 success and happiness in the future; and be it further

6     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7 presented to the Chesterfield Tom Thumb Day Care Center as a
8 symbol of our esteem and respect.
