HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Reverend Jesse
4Dillard on his 15th anniversary in the ministry; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Reverend Dillard will be celebrating his 15th year
6in the ministry on Friday, November 19, 2010; the celebration
7will be held at Logos Baptist Assembly in Chicago; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Reverend Dillard started preaching under the
9ministry of Reverend Dr. James R. Flint, Sr., at Union
10Evangelistic Baptist Church, and now is serving at Logos
11Baptist Assembly under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Donald L.
12Parson in Chicago; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Jesse Dillard was born December 5, 1972 to the
14late Lenora Mae Dillard at St. James Hospital in Chicago
15Heights; he was the last of 14 children; he attended Rich
16Central High School in Olympia Fields and Job Corps in Dayton,
17Ohio, where he earned a certificate in clerical skills; and
 
18    WHEREAS, He was called to preach in 1990 and preached his
19first sermon under the leadership of Reverend Dr. James R.
20Flint, Sr., at Union Evangelistic Baptist Church; and

1    WHEREAS, He earned a certificate in Christian Ministries at
2Lincoln Christian College in Lincoln; he later earned an
3Associate Degree in Theology at Baptist Bible College in
4Springfield, Missouri and a B.A. degree from St. Louis
5Christian College in Florissant, Missouri; Reverend Dillard is
6pursuing a degree in business, hoping to one day own his own
7funeral home; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
9NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
10congratulate Reverend Jesse Dillard on his years of service and
11wish him continued success in his future endeavors; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to Reverend Jesse Dillard as a symbol of our respect
15and esteem.
