HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Westmont Police Department Deputy Chief of Police Randy King on his retirement; and

WHEREAS, Randy King is a graduate of the Chicago Police Academy Basic Law Enforcement training, Northwestern University's Center for Public Safety School of Staff and Command, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Midwest Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar; and

WHEREAS, He obtained his Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees from Lewis University; he is a member of the National Scholastic Honor Society; and

WHEREAS, He served as President of the Fraternal Order of Police Westmont Lodge #63; and

WHEREAS, In addition to his duties as a police officer, he also supplied care packages for troops overseas as part of Operation Support Our Troops; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Deputy Chief Randy King on his retirement and thank him for his years of service to the people of Westmont; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Deputy Chief Randy King as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
