HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Daniel Krissek of Boy Scout Troop 60 of Libertyville on the occasion of achieving the coveted rank of Eagle Scout; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Krissek has been a member of Boy Scout Troop 60 in Libertyville since 2003; he has been in Scouting since he became a Cub Scout at the age of 7; he earned all Cub Scout ranks, including the Arrow of Light, the highest rank in Cub Scouts, and both Cub Scout Catholic religious awards, Parvuli Dei and Ad Altare Dei; in total, he earned a total of 23 merit badges; and

WHEREAS, During his time with the Boy Scouts, Daniel Krissek has held the troop leadership positions of Librarian, Historian, Chaplain Aide, and Order of the Arrow Representative; he attended the 2005 National Jamboree and several sessions of summer camp at Camp Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan; he actively participated in his troop's program of monthly weekend campouts; he is also a member of the Order of the Arrow, the National Honor Society of the Boy Scouts; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Krissek graduated from Woodland School in 2006 and from Warren Township High School in 2010; he is currently attending the College of Lake County; and

WHEREAS, To earn the rank of Eagle Scout, Daniel Krissek led the collection, organization (by reading level), and delivery of almost 3,000 usable books for the Lake County Courthouse's "Kids' Korner", a safe place for children 2 to 12 years of age to wait while their parents are in court; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Krissek serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Daniel Krissek on the occasion of achieving the coveted rank of Eagle Scout and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Daniel Krissek as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
