1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the
4 Titan Women's Track Team from Illinois Wesleyan University on
5 the occasion of the team's 2009-2010 championship season; and

6     WHEREAS, The Titans' season record included victories in
7 the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championship,
8 as well as the NCAA Division III National Championship; and

9     WHEREAS, The National Champion Titans are led by Head Coach
10 Chris Shumacher and Assistant Coaches Al Nathan and Greg
11 Huffaker; and

12     WHEREAS, The National Champion runners are Amanda LaRocca,
13 Shavantay Thomas, Ali McCoy, Mackenzie Clemens, Lauren Alpert,
14 Jessica Christy, and Tara Clemens; therefore, be it

15     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
16 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
17 congratulate the members of the Titan Women's Track Team on the
18 occasion of the team's 2009-2010 championship season and wish
19 them continued success and happiness in the future; and be it
20 further

1     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to the Illinois Wesleyan Women's Track Team as a
3 symbol of our esteem and respect.
