HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the Harrisburg Bulldogs baseball team on the occasion of their wonderful season; and

WHEREAS, The Harrisburg Bulldogs were ranked 4th nationally and 1st in the State going into the Class 2A state championship game; the team ended their season with a phenomenal 40-1 record and matched a State record for consecutive wins in a season set by Edwardsville in 1998; and

WHEREAS, The Harrisburg Bulldogs have had a fantastic 98-9 record over the past 3 seasons; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Harrisburg Bulldogs are Tyler Cox, Cameron Cummins, Nick Borders, Keelin Rasch, Cain Sheldon, Noah King, Logan Leverett, Dawson Montfort, Reid Roper, Tyler McGowan, Caleb Thompson, Kollin Dowdy, Ryne Roper, Isaac Behme, Gerad Milstead, Austin Younger, and Andrew Maxam; the team's head coach is Jay Thompson and the coaching assistants are Joe Thompson, Greg Davis, David Montfort, Al Way, and Jeff Roper; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Harrisburg Bulldogs serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the members of the Harrisburg Bulldogs baseball team on the occasion of their wonderful season and wish them continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Harrisburg Bulldogs head coach Jay Thompson as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
