HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Catherine Mundsinger on the occasion of her retirement as Director of Elementary Teaching and Learning of Oswego Community Unit School District 308; and

WHEREAS, Cathi Mundsinger began her career as a speech therapist in Kendall County and a part-time worker in Sandwich for 5 years before being hired as a speech and language pathologist for District 308 at East View Elementary School in 1986; as she passed her 10-year mark with the district, she accepted a position as assistant principal at East View; she remained in that position until 1998, when she served as interim principal at Old Post Elementary School; she assumed the principal position at Old Post the following year; and

WHEREAS, In 2006, Cathi Mundsinger was chosen to serve as Director of Elementary Teaching and Learning in District 308; during her tenure as Director, she was named Leader of the Year in 2005 and 2007; and

WHEREAS, Cathi Mundsinger and her loving husband, Wayne, have 2 children, Anne and Andrew, and 4 grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Cathi Mundsinger plans to spend her retirement reading, sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Cathi Mundsinger has served as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Catherine Mundsinger on the occasion of her retirement and wish her many happy and healthy retirement years; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Cathi Mundsinger as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
