HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Scoutmaster Don Schepler of Troop 167 in Huntley as he retires; and

WHEREAS, Because of his leadership over the last 18 years, over 20 young men have obtained the rank of Eagle Scout in Troop 167 and over 100 young men have experienced scouting and its rewards; and

WHEREAS, He was responsible for overseeing annual pancake breakfasts, canoe trips, sailboat trips, and camping opportunities to Minnesota, New Mexico, Florida, Wisconsin, across the State of Illinois, and to the Continental Divide; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Schepler kept a log for each scout, recording the hours camped, community service hours worked, miles hiked, and meetings attended; and

WHEREAS, Scoutmaster Don Schepler is to be commended for his years of dedication to scouting and to changing the lives of the young men under his leadership; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Scoutmaster Don Schepler for his years of service to scouting and wish him the best in his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Scoutmaster Don Schepler as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
