HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Lillian Golonka for her years of service to the Republican Party in Antioch Township; and

WHEREAS, Lillian worked for the Lake County Recorder of Deeds for 23 years; and

WHEREAS, In 1953 she joined the Antioch Republican Men and Women's Club; in 1959 she was a charter member of the Antioch Republican Woman's Club, and held offices in both clubs; and

WHEREAS, In the late 1970s both clubs joined together and became the Antioch Township Republican Club; Lillian was elected Antioch Township Republican Chairman in 1982 and still holds that position; and

WHEREAS, She served as an election judge from 1960 to 1968 and served as an Antioch Township Trustee for 11 years; and

WHEREAS, Lillian will be honored by the Antioch Township Republican Club on May 22 for her years of service to the Republican Party; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Lillian Golonka and wish her all the best in her future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Lillian Golonka as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
