HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Russell E. Miller of Tremont on his retirement as a water operator for the Village of Tremont; and

WHEREAS, He is a lifelong resident of the Village; he is dedicated to his work, and is known for working nights and weekends in unpleasant conditions to make sure that the water continues to flow for his community; and

WHEREAS, He is known for going above and beyond the call of duty to meet the needs of the people of Tremont; he is careful with public funds, using the same pick-up truck for many years, making it run long past its prime; and

WHEREAS, He is a Class A water operator and a Class 4 wastewater operator; for 18 years he has won an award from the Illinois Department of Public Health for having perfect fluoride in the water; and in 1992 he was a runner-up for Water Operator of the Year; and

WHEREAS, He is a member of the Midstate Water Operators Group and the Illinois Rural Water Association; and

WHEREAS, He will be joining his wife, Norma, who also retired from the Village of Tremont after serving for 30 years; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Russell Miller and wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Russell Miller as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
