HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Del Pechauer on his retirement, as head football coach and as a teacher, from Community High School District 117 in Antioch; and

WHEREAS, His former students and colleagues describe him as an inspiring teacher and coach; and

WHEREAS, For over 20 years he has been involved in the Sequoit football program; he served 19 years as the head football coach and has served in many other capacities as well; he also has been an influential coach in the track and field program; and

WHEREAS, He has been a major part of the Physical Education department; he has taught physical education, driver's education, and Physical Best for 33 years; he built the weight deck and the Physical Best program to the outstanding programs they are today; and

WHEREAS, In addition, he added the "Bigger, Faster, Stronger" program to the student athletes and it is currently used in the lifting program; and

WHEREAS, Del Pechauer has been a vital part of Community High School District 117 for many years and will be dearly missed; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Del Pechauer on his retirement, thank him for his service, and wish him the best in his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Del Pechauer as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
