1 HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, House Joint Resolution 75 of the 96th General
3 Assembly required the Board of Higher Education to undertake a
4 study of the most practical methodology to improve the
5 efficiency and sustainability of the Monetary Award Program and
6 submit a report to the General Assembly before February 28,
7 2010; and

8     WHEREAS, House Joint Resolution 75 of the 96th General
9 Assembly was adopted by the House of Representatives and the
10 Senate on October 29, 2009; and

11     WHEREAS, The report's due date of February 28, 2010 does
12 not allow sufficient time to prepare the report; therefore, be
13 it

14     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
15 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE
16 SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that the report required by House
17 Joint Resolution 75 of the 96th General Assembly shall be
18 submitted to the General Assembly by March 21, 2010 instead of
19 February 28, 2010; and be it further

20     RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be sent to the
21 Clerk of the House of Representatives and the Secretary of the
