SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

305 ILCS 5/5-16a new

Amends the Medical Assistance Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code. Requires the Department of Healthcare and Family Services to provide a written report to the General Assembly no later than January 1, 2011 detailing the implementation of the Primary Care Case Management Program, including a review of the timeline the program was implemented, the cost savings associated with the program, and any future implementation changes planned by the Department. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning public aid.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by adding Section 5-16a as follows:

(305 ILCS 5/5-16a new)

Sec. 5-16a. Primary care case management program. The Department shall provide a written report to the General Assembly no later than January 1, 2011 detailing the implementation of the Primary Care Case Management Program, including a review of the timeline the program was implemented, the cost savings associated with the program, and any future implementation changes planned by the Department.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
