    Amends the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963. Makes a technical change in the purposes Section of the Forfeiture Article.

1     AN ACT concerning criminal law.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963 is
5 amended by changing Section 124B-5 as follows:
 
6     (725 ILCS 5/124B-5)
7     Sec. 124B-5. Purpose and scope. The purpose of this this
8 Article is to set forth in one place the provisions relating to
9 forfeiture of property in connection with violations of certain
10 criminal statutes. Part 100 of this Article sets forth standard
11 provisions that apply to these forfeiture proceedings. In Parts
12 300 and following, for each type of criminal violation, this
13 Article sets forth (i) provisions that apply to forfeiture only
14 in connection with that type of violation and (ii) by means of
15 incorporation by reference, the standard forfeiture provisions
16 that apply to that type of violation.
