SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

225 ILCS 320/35.5 new

Amends the Illinois Plumbing License Law. Prohibits the use of any water-powered sump pump, as defined by the Department, in the State.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning plumbing.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Plumbing License Law is amended by adding Section 35.5 as follows:

(225 ILCS 320/35.5 new)

Sec. 35.5. Water-powered sump pumps prohibited. Notwithstanding any other provision in this Act or any rule promulgated pursuant to this Act, the use of any water-powered sump pump, as defined by the Department, shall be prohibited in the State.
